it seems i’ve fallen victim to my extreme prejudice toward novelty. the newest things almost always get my attention. in this case, it’s the new posting allowances. anyway, i’m posting this video because of how vividly i remember seeing it for the first time. the concept (shoving the band in a tiny parisian bathroom) and the song (the harmonies!) were interesting. i’d heard ‘the knife’ so i had an idea of what the music might sound like, but i didn’t expect this. i was enchanted by this song. i must have watched it six or seven times in a row. i don’t know how much listened to it in the subsequent days. i like the simplicity of it. this is what happens when you get a talented group of people together to present a well-made piece of art. no frills. no filters. enjoy.
